Most common side effects

Medicines Mouniaro (tirzepatide) is an effective therapy for the treatment of obesity, but - as with all medicines - some individuals may experience side effects. These are most commonly associated with the gastrointestinal tract and usually occur at the start of treatment or when increasing the dose.

The most common side effects include nausea, feeling full, flatulence, diarrhoea or constipation. Some patients also report vomiting, heartburn or reduced appetite. These symptoms are usually mild to moderate and in most people decrease over time as the body adapts to the drug. Gradually increasing the dose significantly reduces the likelihood of these problems.

In a small minority of patients, there may also be fatigue, headache or dizziness, especially in the initial phase of treatment. Less commonly, it may occur dehydrationespecially if digestive problems are pronounced, so sufficient fluid intake is important.

Very rarely, there may be more serious side effectssuch as severe indigestion or signs of pancreatitis (severe pain in the upper abdomen radiating to the back).

Mounjaro is not suitable for everyone. It should not be used in people with certain thyroid conditions or during pregnancy and lactation. Therefore, before starting treatment, it is always necessary to accurate medical assessment.

It is important to note that most patients treated with Mounjaro well tolerated, but side effects are in most cases transient and manageable with proper introduction and regular monitoring.
