Advantage over other NIPTs
Panorama is the only NIPT that separates maternal from foetal DNA, as the technology works by
identifying SNPs or single nucleotide polymorphisms in the hereditary record.
The DNA, or hereditary record, of individuals differs by 1%. This difference between individuals
is called polymorphic nucleotide sequences. SNP technology is capable of detecting differences between
individuals and between individual genetic disease states. The distinction between maternal and
fetal DNA is key to the low number of false positive and false negative
results.
Compared to other NIPT tests, the number of false positive and false negative results for the
PANORAMA test is up to 6x lower!
Panorama is the only NIPT test that can assess the zygosity of twins (determining whether twins are identical or
twins), the sex of both twins and, in fetal twin pregnancies, the concentration of individual
fetal DNA.
