There are several types of hormonal contraception. They are divided both by their composition and by their application.

There is contraception with one type of hormone(Progestogen) and combined contraception with two hormones
(Estrogen and Progestogen).

There are the pill, the vaginal ring, patches and IUDs.

The pills have different regimens and it is important to take them at the same time every day.

The vaginal ring is inserted into the vagina and remains in the vagina for 21 days. After a 7-day pause, a new one is inserted again
.

Apply the patches to inconspicuous parts of your body and change it every 7 days. It is important not to stay in the water too long to prevent the patch from peeling off.

IUDs - There are two types of IUDs, copper IUDs and hormonal IUDs.

The copper IUD is suitable for women who have already given birth and stays in the uterus for 5 years, while the hormonal IUD has a wrapped coil where the hormone is released in minimal amounts for 3 to 7 years, depending on the type of IUD.

The IUD can be inserted in girls/women who have not yet given birth.
